Celebrating Growth Through Performance

At Evergreen Dance Academy, performance is an important part of the dance experience. Throughout the season, dancers build confidence, develop teamwork, strengthen their technique, and experience the joy of sharing their hard work with family and friends.

Our main season includes two annual performances, each designed to support dancers at different points in their journey.

Winter Showcase

The Winter Showcase is our mid-season performance held each January. It gives dancers the opportunity to perform what they've been working on during the first half of the dance year while gaining valuable stage experience.

Families can expect:

  • A shorter performance
  • A simplified production
  • A supportive, encouraging atmosphere
  • An opportunity to celebrate dancers' progress

The Winter Showcase helps dancers build confidence and prepare for the excitement of our Annual Recital.

Annual Recital

Our Annual Recital is the culmination of the dance season and one of the highlights of the year.

Held each June in a professional theater, the recital celebrates everything dancers have learned throughout the season in a polished, memorable performance for family and friends.

Families can expect:

  • A professional theater experience
  • Stage lighting and sound
  • Costumes for each class
  • A dress rehearsal prior to the performance
  • Professional photography and videography

The Annual Recital is a celebration of dedication, growth, and the accomplishments of every dancer.

Why We Perform

At Evergreen Dance Academy, we believe performance is an essential part of a dancer's education.

While weekly classes build technique, strength, and artistry, performances give dancers the opportunity to apply those skills in a meaningful way. Stepping onto the stage helps dancers develop confidence, resilience, teamwork, responsibility, and the satisfaction of working toward a shared goal.

Because performances are an important part of the learning experience, dancers enrolled in our September–June season are expected to participate in both the Winter Showcase and Annual Recital. Throughout the year, classes learn choreography, practice formations, and prepare together for these special events. Each dancer plays an important role in their class's performance.

Whether it's a dancer's first time on stage or they're a seasoned performer, our goal is the same: to provide a positive, supportive environment where every dancer can celebrate their growth, share their accomplishments, and create lasting memories with their dance family.
